Hey Guys,Hope you are all well and found some inspiration for Active Activities from our last blog post of the #KildareExcape series. This week we are bringing you some more beautiful and interesting places to explore in Kildare. Getting outdoors and into nature is so good for your mental health and a great way to get in your steps for the week.

Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens

Situated in Kildare town these wonderful garden's are so worth the visit. These gardens were created between 1906 and 1910 by Japanese master horticulturist Tassa Eida. His aim in the creation of these gardens was to symbolise 'Life of Man' through the use of trees, plants, flowers, lawns, rocks and water. As your explore this majestic place you will notice how his work portrays this extraordinary theme throughout. After a your walk you may be peckish so there is a top quality restaurant available for take away and outdoor dining if reserved beforehand.Great day out and a feast for the senses. Family friendly and a unique experience as part of an active weekend.https://irishnationalstud.ie/attraction/japanese-gardens/

Castletown House

If you are looking for an awesome escape to the outdoors and something a little bit closer to home then look no further than Castletown house and Parklands situated in Celbridge, Co.Kildare.The grounds consist of Ireland's largest and first Palladian style house, as you walk though the parklands you will also come across other points of interest i.e the bath house, gazebo, the ice houseThis house with its huge amount of land open to the public has loads of space for a walk/jog/run or even outdoor workout session. As you explore further into Castletown and its grounds you will discover beautiful views of the River Liffey which provides space for those interested in water sports such as kayaking, fishing etc.If you fancy a coffee or a bite to eat Celbridge Village is very close by with a number of great food and coffee places.Really great place to get out to on the weekend with the family or friends without having to worry about travelling too far.For more info visit: http://castletown.ie/
