On Friday 17th January, we held our first LIFT Ireland event here at Excape Studios. This has nothing to do with lifting weights even though we are a Premium Personal Training Studio!!LIFT Ireland stands for Leading Irelands Future Together. LIFT Ireland is a not-for-profit initiative aimed at increasing the level of positive leadership in Ireland. One of our incredible members, Joanne Hession, founder and CEO of LIFT Ireland, introduced us to the programme as she felt Excape's values met exactly what the LIFT programme portrays.
LIFT was built on a desire to change the country for the better by changing the way people view leadership. It aims to do this through its eight-part, group learning process. LIFT’s programme is being rolled out nationwide via a volunteer facilitator network with a goal of reaching 10% of the population by 2028.
The Excape Team became LIFT facilitators in November 2019, at a facilitator training day in the Clayton Hotel, Leopardstown.
We feel that everyone in all walks of life could benefit from LIFT. After the training day, we decided we would hold an event for our Excape Members and the wider community.We felt January would be the perfect opportunity to make a positive impact on those around us and help set them up for success by giving them the tools and skills to make 2020 their best year yet.The LIFT Team along with a group of facilitators from Confey College arrived to set up and to help share and educate everyone who was attending, about LIFT.
We had a videographer, Daragh Murphy from November Seven Films to get all the action from the night. Many of our members and the wider community of Leixlip, Lucan, Celbridge, Maynooth and further afield, came along.
We had the founder and CEO of the Beauty Buddy App, members of An Garda Siochana, lecturers from Maynooth university and team members/employees from companies such as Accenture,Veritas, Brown Thomas,
